The local town is Mora D’Ebre and Mora La Nova is the other side of the river.

Between them they offer a good selection of supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, banks and general shops. Just down the road from us we have the local police, an excellent hospital, plus fire and ambulance stations.

We can point you in the direction of some local attractions or you can go exploring yourself, the locals are generally really friendly and helpful.

Miravet is a famous local village on the banks of the river with an impressive Moorish castle and beautiful potteries which are perfect for buying souvenirs.

As we are away from the main coastal resorts, the restaurants will be mainly occupied by locals so the prices are better and the standard of food on offer is high and very good value.

If you need a more relaxing break there are local vineyard tours with wine tasting and museums covering much of the local history and industry. The Catedral del Vi  , designed by a Gaudi student, is particularly impressive.

The biggest and final decisive battle of the Spanish Civil War took place around Mora D’Ebre, so if you are interested in military history you will find the area fascinating. We can provide information on where to find everything or arrange an outing with an excellent local guide who runs Pdl historia.

Further afield Reus and Tarragona have major shopping centres with all the facilities of large towns.

Why not spend a night or two in Barcelona to start or finish your visit? It’s a beautiful city and one of the most popular European destinations for good reason.
